GLP-1 therapy may be appropriate for adults with a BMI of 30 or greater (obese), or a BMI of 27 or greater (overweight) with at least one weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol. During your consultation, your nurse practitioner will review your full medical history, current medications, and health goals to determine if GLP-1 therapy is safe and appropriate for you.

Most patients begin to notice reduced appetite and early weight changes within the first 2–4 weeks. Significant, visible weight loss typically occurs over 3–6 months as your dose is gradually increased (titrated) to the therapeutic range. Clinical studies have shown average weight loss of 15–20% of body weight over 12–18 months. Individual results vary based on starting weight, dosage, diet, and activity level.
